plotting and planning together
a new scheme for the day
smile when you see them
think of them when they're gone
give them all you've got
help them when you can
laugh when they're happy
cheer them when they're low
guide them thru trouble
say when there's calm

with only three seniors on the squad, it was definitely a
rebuilding year for the cross country team, under the
coaching of mr. kaupp the team finished with a record
of two wins and six losses, in the league meet they fin-
ished fifth.

the high points of the season were the close victories
over plymouth-carver and whitman-hanson. the team
also lost a one point decision to middleboro 28-27.

the team consisted of ten sophomores and four ju-
niors, the captain was larry quintiliani and the other
two seniors were marty mcisaac and jack fairweather.

the 1971 track team had a record of 8 wins and 2 losses, the
1972 track team shows great promise because of a fine group
of underclassmen, the team will be led by captains mike hib-
ler and barry mccabe, and coached by mr. kaupp and mr.
cucinatto.

good day sunshine

i take a walk

the sun is shining out

i got something i can laugh about.

i feel good in a special way

i'm in love and it's a sunny day

she looks good

she knows she's looking fine

i'm so glad to know

that she is mine.

i take a walk
the sun is shining down
burns my feet as they touch
the ground.

good day sunshine.

this is the way it was while i was
waiting for your eyes to find me.
i was drifting going no place,
hypnotized by sunshine maybe . .

for his deep understanding of youth and the problems it brings, for his tolerant manner, for his cheerful, warm per-
sonality and positive attitude, the senior class, in gratitude and admiration dedicates the 1972 torch to mr. hodge.

as a teacher and as a friend, mr. hodge has helped our class since the days of seventh grade, he has assisted us at class
meetings, organized the junior prom, and helped with our dances, we owe a lot of our class success to his guidance,
effort and support.

mr. hodge yearns for an educational system that provides unity in extra-curricular activities and studies, students
must learn to budget their time between social and academic endeavors.

mr. hodge, the first teacher to advise a class for four years, saw our class as reliable, respectful, and trustworthy, he
believes we exceeded any previous class in spirit, finance, and originality and is quite proud of our achievements.

as a biology teacher, mr. hodge expects weekly lab-reports, courtesy, promptness, and respect from all his students,
he is devoted to his work and encourages pupils to pursue this field.

the seniors of 1972 dedicate the torch to a man of honor, respect, guidance, and determination, mr. robert hodge,
we thank you.

i thank thee just for life,

the chance to live,
to be alive! so great thy gift,

if thou dost nothing give
besides, it is enough,

to look thee in the face,

and call thee god! amen.

death be not proud

death, be not proud, though some have called thee
mighty and dreadful, for thou art not so:
for those whom thou think'st thou dost overthrow
die not, poor death; not yet canst thou kill me.
from rest and sleep, which but thy picture be,
much pleasure, then from thee much more must flow;
and soonest our best men with thee do go —
best of their bones and soul's delivery!
thou'st slave to fate, chance, kings, and desperate men,
and dost with poison, war, and sickness dwell;
and poppy or charms can make up sleep as well
and better than thy stroke, why swell'st thou then?
one short sleep past, we wake eternally,
and death shall be no more; death, thou shalt die!
